Question and Answers

Q:

my jennair cooktop stopped working after I spilled water on it what do i do

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The spilled water most likely caused a short circuit inside the cook top causing one or both house circuit breakers dedicated for the cook top to trip off. Depending on how much water passed through the burners stems I recommend locating the two house circuit breakers dedicated for the Jenn-Air cook top and flip both breakers off. I recommend leaving the circuit breakers OFF for at least 24 hours or longer in order to allow the unit to dry completely. After giving it plenty of time to dry; reset both circuit breakers and there is a good chance it will operate normally.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
