Question and Answers

Q:

are my mower blades supposed to bee the same hieght?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. When you turn the blades towards each other, the blades should be even. If you have replaced the blades and they are not even I suspect the mower housing is bent. The correct way to repair the tractor is to replace the housing. Another way to fix the problem is to remove the outside bolt on the mandrel that is lower. Then install washers between the mandrel housing and the deck. Make sure the hole in the washer matches with the hole in the hole in the deck. Just keep stacking washers until the blades are even. Then install the bolt and tighten. If the blades stay even go ahead and level the mower deck by following the instructions in the manual.

I hope this is helpful.

Q:

Why do the Cycle Signal Volume lights flash and bee every few minutes on my Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer?

A:

This type of problem is caused by a stuck button on the user interface control board. To fix this problem, the user interface control board will need to be replaced.

You may be able to repair this failure yourself. You can order a new user interface control from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the user interface is 8564400.

The procedure for accessing and replacing the user interface control is shown in the image below. Be sure to unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.

If you are not completely confident in your technical ability to safely complete this procedure, I recommend calling a service technician to complete this repair.

Q:

Kenmore Model 721-63669, we had a new board put in on the 11th of Sept, and now the beeper does not beep, only at a very small sound, how can I increase the bee

A:

I checked for an adjustment for that beeper volume in the owner's manual and in the technical information for that microwave. I did not find a function that will adjust that volume. The repair service that you used on the microwave should have a warranty. I recommend that you contact the service provider and have the technician return to fix this problem.

For the above response regarding the F9 code: That type of railure will require a service technician. Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as replacing fuses, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services (see link below) or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.
