Question and Answers

Q:

I have an Amana Gas Range Model Number ARG7600WW and the oven will not heat up properly. What can i do or check to fix the improper heating on the oven?

A:

Jackie S. provided some links for previous answers in the above response. That second link that is posted may help you resolve your heating problem in this oven. It describes a possible problem with the glow bar igniter. That could be causing your heating problem. The theory of operation for that ignition system is described in the image below. Here is a link for a video that illustrates the theory of operation for that system: Gas Ignition Operation . If that igniter is glowing in that bake mode but the burner is not lighting properly or keeps going out prematurely, then you will probably need to replace that igniter. Be sure that you unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before accessing internal components. Here is a link for a page where you can order parts: Amana Gas Range Model ARG7 . . . Parts .

This information may help you fix this oven heating problem. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
