Question and Answers

Q:

I have a compound miter saw model 137.212140. The laser doesn't work. I replaced the batteries, and it still doesn't work. What is wrong?

A:

Be sure you have all 3 batteries positioned correctly in the laser. Always clean the laser while you have it apart. Blow it out with air pressure or clean it with a soft paint brush.

The laser is activated by the centrifugal force of the blade turning.

If the laser doesn't work after cleaning it and confirming the batteries are positioned correctly, replace the laser.

Q:

I have a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care III washer, model number 11092592400. I want to clean the lint trap but cannot find an owner's manual to find out how to do i

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to clean the lint filter on the washer.

The lint filter is under the wash basket on this washer and is suppose to be self-cleaning.

Most of the new washers do not even have lint filters.

You would have to remove the cabinet and the wash spin basket to get to the filter so I do not recommend that you do this.

Since this is a 1995 model washer it may be hard to find a manual. The manual is no longer available.

If you want to get at the self-cleaning filter please reply and I will give you detailed instructions on dis-assembling the washer to get to the filter.

Thank you for the update on your washer filter question. In order to get to this filter out to clean it you will need to remove the cabinet and the agitator and the spanner nut that holds the basket on. You will need a spanner wrench to remove the basket drive hub nut. You will need a Phillips screwdriver and a hammer and a spanner wrench. Besides the two images please look at the video link from Repair Clinic.com it has a step by step instructions on how to remove the basket. You can look at the whole video but after removing the basket you will not have to remove the tub as they show because the filter is on the underside of the basket when you remove it. I hope this will help. If you need anymore help please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life. Sam A.
