Q:

Jen Air Oven JES 9800 AAW - How to Install Substitute Part 74007234 Clock w/Harness?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on the issue I would suspect the electronic oven control/clock you received is not likely the correct one.

Two RED wires were originally connected to broil relay in order to complete the one side of the circuit to broil element. The two red wires will have to be connected through the relay or connected together in order to complete one leg of the voltage supply to the broil element or the broil element is not going to heat.

When looking up and ordering parts, you must also know the series number of your range in order to get the correct part.

The series number is the first two digits of the serial number. If can provide me with the serial number of your range I will be happy to check and see what the correct part number is for the electronic oven control board w/harness. Also, look on the new control and see if the part number matches the part number on the box.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post along with the serial number.

Q:

How to replace silver care in Samsung washer?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The silver care assembly is located under the top. Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the top.

There are no step by step instructions available but it should not be a major procedure.

To remove the top panel; remove the two screws along the back of the top panel. Slide the top back and then lift it off. The silver care assembly is located under the center brace that runs along the center of the top. The silvercare assembly is secured to the bottom of the center brace with a few screws, couple of wires and hoses. It should not be that difficult of a procedure to remove and replace the "SilverCare" assembly.

After replacing the assembly you must run an EEPROM clear mode to clear out the code.

To enter the clear mode:

The unit must be ON. Press the Delay Start Key and the Power Key at the same time.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears technician.  To have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.
