Question and Answers

Q:

I have an Amana convection oven model # ZRTSC8650E an error code comes up F-1 and it keeps beeping. Can you help?

A:

The F1 code in this range indicates that the membrane keypad is the control panel is shorted (bad). Replacing that component in a slide-in range will be challenging. I recommend that you have a service technician complete this repair. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you are confident that you can safely replace that membrane keypad yourself, then you can order the part from the Sears PartsDirect website. Use the full model number of your range to access the correct parts list diagram and order the right membrane keypad.

Shut off the house circuit breaker for the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

I do not have a specific repair procedure available for this type of range. The parts diagram for the console is shown in the second image below. It appears that you will need to remove the cook top as shown in the first image and then access the control board and membrane keypad from behind the console.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.
