Q:

In March I bought a Pro-Form XP 580 Model # 831.24855.6, I only have 33 miles on it and now the screen says FF , what does FF mean? No codes in manual

A:

The console on your treadmill occasionally does a self test of connections and internal circuits. The "FF" indicates one of these tests failed.

I am sending you an image with instructions for putting the console through a calibration. If the calibration does not correct the "FF" the console needs to be replaced.

If you have had an electrical storm or a power outage recently, that could cause the console to display FF.

Q:

33 GALLON AIR COMPRESSOR

A:

I suspect the rubber pieces got into the compressor while it was stored in a warehouse.

If the compressor is running and building pressure, blow the rubber particles out and use the compressor.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this schedule service and let a technician check the compressor before removing the rubber pieces.

Q:

Craftsman 33 gal. Air compressor:

A:

The pressure switch controls the cut-in and cut-out pressures for the tank. The cut-out pressure setting of the tank is 150 psi. Reading 156 psi on the tank pressure gauge is not out of a normal range of accuracy for the pressure switch. Shut off the compressor and bleed some air out of the tank so that it is less than 120 psi (the cut-in pressure). Start the compressor and see if the pressure switch cuts out when the tank gauge reads approximately 150 psi. If it does then the pressure switch is working normally. The tank is designed to hold significantly more pressure than 150 psi. A safety valve will open to release pressure and protect the tank when pressure reaches near 200 psi.
