Q:

I have a kenmore elite h3washer 5yrsold and had 2 power outages, it goes to rinse cycle then blinks faults or F and H. which boards got fried? thanks stephen j

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. The FH error code will come up if the washer does not detect water entering the washer. I recommend checking the cold-water valve before replacing the machine control board. It is only failing just on the rinse cycle. The rinse cycle usually only uses cold water. First, unplug the washer and turn the water off. Then remove the cold-water hose from the back of the washer. You should see a screen that sits inside of the inlet of the valve. Make sure that screen is clean. You can flush the screen with a bowl of water and a turkey baster. Once the screen is clean, reconnect the hose and test the washer by running a rinse and spin.

If the water is coming in and the washer still fails I would suspect the washer is siphoning, a plugged air trap, or defective pressure switch. To check the air trap unplug the washer and remove the top. Then locate the pressure switch on the right side in the back. Remove the hose from the switch and blow into the end. You should be able to clear. If the hose is clear, I recommend replacing the switch.

If the washer does not attempt to fill on the rinse cycle, the problem could be a failed water valve, main control, or the wiring to the valve. Unplug the washer and remove the top. Then carefully check the connections on the main control and the water valve. If you have a meter, you can ohm the valve and the wire harness. If you get an open reading that component is defective. After making all of the above checks then I suspect a failed main control.

Q:

My Kenmore Elite front load washing machine is displaying a F02 error code, how do I fix it? M/N 42822 201

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The "F02" implies it's taking to long to drain the tub of water. This can be caused by a dirty pump filter, oversudsing or a faulty water level pressure switch.

I added an image below with the instructions on how to access the drain pump and filter. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the lower access panel.

Q:

how to reinstall the plugs in the back of a H3t washing machine to save the suspenion on model#110.44932 201 front loading machine, to move the washing machine

A:

Thank you for your question.

I should be able to help you. To reinstall the shipping bolts I recommend removing the top. Once you have the top removed, have someone put the shipping bolt into the back hole. then you push the tub in the direction it needs to go to start threading the bolt do not tighten the bolt all the way down at first. You need to start all of the bolts and tighten them equally until they are tight. Please make sure to unplug the washer before removing the top.

If the washer is going to be in freezing conditions for any length of time, you might want to pour some RV antifreeze inside of the spin basket. I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello Sandy. I looked at the information for your washer based on that model number 21302 (full Kenmore model number 110.21302). That washer does not have shipping bolts like the front load washer that is described in the above thread. I recommend that you cancel that shipping bolt order. You should not need those bolts for your washer model. You will not be able to install those on your washer. Your washer was shipped with a couple of styrofoam blocks. You will not need those blocks. I recommend that you just transport the washer in an upright position. No damage should occur to the washer when it is transported in this manner.
