Question and Answers

Q:

Whirlpool cabrio wtw6200sw2 washer leaking from the top left back side of washer, do you have any idea what could cause this water leak? Thank you.

A:

You could have a leak in one of the dispenser hoses or connections. The recirculation hose or connection could also be leaking. I recommend that you unplug the washer and lift the top panel as shown in the image below. With the top lifted you can check the dispenser hoses and the recirculation hose as shown in the image. You will probably be able to find the leak in this manner.

If you need to replace parts, you can order them from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

Q:

What could be wrong when I run washer with nothing in it and it is still unbalanced? This whirlpool cabrio is unbalanced on the rinse even with nothing in it.

A:

That link for a previous answer that James posted in the above response may help you with this problem. You can open the top as described in that previous answer and check the suspension rods and springs. I added that image from that previous answer to this response as well (see the 1st image). Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components. If you find no problems with the suspension rods and springs, you can remove that spin basket and check for an item that could be stuck between the spin basket and the plastic outer tub. Your Cabrio washer appears to have an agitator so you will need to use the procedure in the 2nd image to remove that spin basket in your washer.

These tips may help you resolve this unbalanced issue in your Cabrio washer. If you find no problems after checking these issues, then you may have a bad bearing in that bottom of that outer tub. A technician will normally need to repair that type of problem. Here is a link that you can use to schedule service: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link for a thread that discusses the procedure for replacing that bearing: Need new bearing kit for Kenmore Oasis . A special tool is needed to install that bearing. That is why we normally recommend that you have a service technician complete that repair.
