wtw6200sw1 Whirlpool Washer Cabrio Drive Shaft

NOTE: There have been some improvements made in the service procedure for that outer tub bearing since this answer was posted. The outer tub bearing is now available as a separate component. It can be replaced using special tools that the Sears Service technicians now have been issued. That bearing kit costs around $80. The labor for the technician would cost around $140 (at this time).

What does a F1 code mean when it appears on the digital display of the washing machine?

The F1 fault code on this washer indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range. This can be caused by the pressure transducer air hose tubing being pinched or crimped. A failed pressure transducer on the machine control board can also cause it.

The first image below shows the method for accessing the pressure transducer tube that runs from the bottom of the washer tub to the machine control. I recommend checking this air hose for pinches, twists or crimps. NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

If you find no problems with the pressure transducer tube, then the machine control board will need to be replaced. The procedure for accessing and replacing the machine control board is shown in the second image below.

Make sure to unplug the washer before attempting any repair of the washer.
