Q:

Kenmore Gas range, 665.72029100. From the stanley 95 Wp, Micro Switch, a rod goes into the insulation under the gas burners. Does this rod connect to anything?.

A:

Thank you for your question on the lock rod for the self-clean locking mechanism.

I believe the rod you are referring to is the rod that attaches the lock motor to the lock hook to lock the door for self clean.

It should be connected to the motor on the back end and the latch hook on the front of the range.

I will give you a picture of this area.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for the update. The switches on the self-clean lock motor are only included with the lock motor assembly. In order to get the lock rod back onto the lock motor you will usually have to at least remove the lock motor so you can turn it to get the hook on the end of the wire back into the hole on the lock motor cam. I order to do this you will need to remove the back panel off the range to gain access to those screws. SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others. I hope you were able to get it reconnected. Sam A.

Q:

How to install timer for Whirlpool washer, Model Number LLT8233A

A:

Thank you for the question.

I should be able to help you with replacing the timer in the washer. First, make sure you unplug the washer and remove the know by pushing in and turning it counter clockwise. Now you can remove the dial by sliding it off the timer shaft. Then remove the two screws in the front lower corners of the console. Next, pull the console forward slightly and then lift it into the service position. Now unplug the wires to the timer and flip the console back down. Then remove the two mounting screws that are located behind the dial. Next, hold the new timer in position and install the mounting screws. The screw holes might not have threads cut yet but that is fine the screws will still go in. they will cut the threads as you turn the screw. Then just reassemble the washer in the reverse order.

I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

A:

According to the item number on your receipt, that range was a Whirlpool model RF263LXTT. I provided a product description of that range in the image below. I don't have the information on your serial number. That serial number may be recorded in our Sears information system. You can call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) and talk to an agent to see if that serial number is available in our system.
