Q:

washer would set and hum WM2701HV Lg Washer

A:

The control may detect that there is water in the tub and the drain pump may be the humming sound that you hear. Try to reset the control board by unplugging the washer for 3 minutes. Plug it back in to restore power and see if the control works normally.

If the control still will not work, you can try to use the diagnostic test that I posted in the first image below. You may see one of the error codes listed in the second image during that test. That may point you in the direction of your failure.

If you determine the cause of this problem and need parts, you can order them from this page: LG Washer Model WM2701HV Parts . Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

washer model# wm2701hv lights flickering controls not working how to troubleshoot ? hard reset didnot work

A:

Hi Latonya,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The first thing I recommend is checking for error codes. The error codes are extremely important in the diagnosis of this type of washer. This washer has a test program that will recall error codes. If the control detects a problem it will identify it with an error code. I am including this information in a set of images below.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or purchase any parts needed for your appliance; Sears Parts Direct .

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. Be sure to record any failures and when they occur along with any error codes that are displayed.
