Question and Answers

Q:

Why won't the pilot light stay lit on my Bosch water wizard water heater?

A:

It likely has a bad thermocouple or gas valve. I added the lighting instructions in the image below.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your water heater.

Q:

F10 warning sign

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand your concern when the range shows an error code.

The F10 error code is an indication that the oven temperature sensor is gotten out of calibration.

  • The first thing to try is to remove power from the range for at least 1 minute and then restore the power and reset the oven control clock for the correct time of day.

Watch the control to see if the code comes back.

If it doesn't you are ok.

  • If it does then the oven temp sensor resistance needs to be checked for the correct resistance at room temperature.

  • You will need a Volt/Ohm meter to check for 1100 ohms on the sensor terminals at the back of the range and if they are off then the sensor will need to be replaced.

  • If you do not have a meter it is just as easy to replace the sensor and have a good chance it will fox your problem. If it is not the sensor it will be the Electronic oven control that will need to be replaced.

  • REMOVE POWER to the range.

  • Pull the range away from the wall and remove the upper and lower back panel.

  • Locate the wire leads for the sensor and disconnect.

  • At this time you can check the harness for melting and if melted hard wire around the connector. If it is not melted check the resistance for 1100 ohms at 75 degrees.

  • To remove the sensor, locate the pencil like probe in the oven cavity and remove the screw/s which could be in the oven or on the back wall depending on the production.

  • Replace with the new sensor.

  • Reinstall the panels and check operation.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
