Question and Answers

Q:

16" saw

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know who made the chain saw.

The 358. prefix in the model number tells me that it is a Craftsman model manufactured by Poulan.

If there is anything else I can help you with on you chainsaw please reply.

Q:

917272075 i wzas using 16 inch blades i ordered part they sent me 21 inch blaqdes seems like theyll fit--are they correct blades

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The mower should have had 21" inch blades all along. Now you will be able to cut 10 inches wider without an uncut strip down the middle.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Need schematic or instructions for installing gas lines on a Craftsman Weedwacker Trimmer, 16", 21 cc, Model #358.798420, from Primer to Carurator to gas tank.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry; we do not have written instructions for the routing of the fuel lines on your product. Our technicians are thought the basic routing because the routing cannot change much from year to year. If you have one large fuel line and one smaller this eliminates some chance for error. If you have 2 small fuel lines to the carburetor connect them and start the engine. Reversing the fuel lines will not prevent the engine from starting. If you have them connected backwards, the engine will start and die. Reverse them and you will be correct.

The routing of the fuel lines vary from model to model. Keep in mind that the primer bulb circulates fuel from the tank, through the carburetor, and back into the fuel tank. One line goes from the fuel tank to the carburetor. One line goes from the fuel tank to the primer bulb, from the primer bulb to the carburetor, and back to the fuel tank. The small line in the fuel tank should have the filter attached to it. I have added a sketch below of how the fuel should flow in the circuit.

I have found a video I think will be useful. Please click here to watch a video on how the fuel lines are routed. If you need further assistance, please submit more details.
