Question and Answers

ice maker tbx22pryhlww

Thank You for choosing Sears and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number tbx22pryhlww and check that wire shut-off arm to make sure it is in the "down" position. If it is even slightly raised, the ice maker will not cycle.
Check the water fill tube to make sure that it is not frozen. You can remove the ice maker from the side wall of the freezer to check that issue. It is secured by screws.
Unplug the refrigerator before removing that ice maker from the wall.
Make sure that the wire harness is plugged in securely. You may need to remove the ice maker from the freezer wall to check that issue as well.
If you find no problems with those issues, check to see if there is ice in the ice mold of the ice maker assembly. If it is dry, I recommend that you manually fill the ice maker with water using a squirt bottle or turkey baster. See if the ice freezes and is ejected. If the ice maker cycles but does not refill with water, then you may have a bad water valve, a wiring failure or a bad ice maker module. You can also check the resistance through the water fill valve circuit using the information in the first image. If that circuit is okay and the fill valve buzzes when the ice maker cycles but no water enters the ice maker, then the fill valve assembly will need to be replaced. If resistance through that water valve is okay but the ice maker module is not sending voltage to the water valve in the fill portion of the harvest cycle, then you will need to replace that ice maker assembly. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information. I hope this information helps you.
Thank you for choosing Sears
