Q:

sideburner connection between valve and tube

A:

Hi Saif,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Without seeing what you are talking about it is hard to determine whether or not what you are describing is normal. Most valves are simply suspended into the venturi tube this allows air to mix with the gas for a proper flame at the burner. If the connection between the valve and the venturi was airtight the flame would be small because you would just be burning gas.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.

Q:

How to clean infrared searing side-burner on BBQ

A:

Thank you for your question on the searing burner getting BBQ sauce on the burner.

The searing burner should only be used when you first sear the meat and then you move the meat to the cooler part of the grill to finish the cooking.

You may have to replace the burner or at least remove it from its location and brush the searing screen with a brass brush.

If you can get some of it off you can put it back in and grill and let it burn off but it will take more than 15 minutes to get it two burn off. It may take twice that long to get the burner to self clean.

Please let me know what happens.

Q:

Grill

A:

Thank you for your question on the side burner on your grill not lighting.

Without the model number I can only give you a couple of things to check on your BBQ grill not lighting the side burner.

Please make sure the igniter wire is attached to the spark probe on the burner head.

Also check to see if the wire is attached to the spark module.

Please reply with your model number so I can give you a more precise answer.
