Question and Answers

Q:

pulverator P10 compatable sink strainer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There is not a sink strainer made to specifically fit the garbage disposal. There are several types of fine mesh sink strainers available that would have a large flange which would simply drop into drain. I added a link where you could order a sink strainer . I also added an image of what you will likely need to use.

Amy: The piece you're looking for is the mounting flange. The mounting flange would come with the disposal. Here is a link where you can order parts for your brand disposal. http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/disposals/pulverator/p10.html

Q:

How do we get the drain strainer back in place in our dishwasher?

A:

To make this more clear to you go to www.sears.com and select parts. Enter your model number and select “body parts.

I assume you are talking about item 506. There is probably a plastic pipe running over the top of it when everything is in place. Pull the upper rack out part way and disconnect the plastic pipe from the mount on the rear of the tub and move it to one side. Pull the lower wash arm up and off its mount and set it aside. Slide the plastic pipe out of the mount for the lower wash arm and move it over so you can put the strainer back on its mount.

If you are talking about a different part look in the parts description and get its name and send another question and we will try to help you.

Q:

Why does my Kenmore Elite dishwasher have soapy water in the bottom?

A:

When too much or the wrong type of detergent is used it will generate a lot of suds. The drain pump will pump out the water but it can not pump out suds. The suds will break down to soapy water after the suds sit there long enough after it has gone through the final drain cycle. The drain pump can only pump out liquid. I recommend using Cascade powder detergent and not any type of gel detergents. If you have a water softener, reduce the amount of detergent.

Resubmit you question with the model number and additional details if needed for model specific information.
