Question and Answers

Q:

My Craftsman scroll saw needs a 3A 125V fuse, all I can find is a 3A 250V. Can I use it?

A:

Substituting a 250 volt fuse for a125 volt fuse is fine. The voltage doesn't matter as long as the amperage is correct.

Q:

I have replaced the "3 Position Switch" (676480) on my vacuum (11628712790) - now head overloads!

A:

The new switch is a heavier duty switch. The contacts on the new switch can carry a 6 amp load. The original switch was rated at 3 amps. It should work fine.

I suspect you accidentally pinched the wire that goes to the power mate when you reassembled the hose and handle. If the wire is pinched and cuts down on the voltage to the power mate, the circuit will trip.

Double check all your connections and make sure you don't have a pinched wire.
