Q:

Thanks Jimmy K. for your response but the mower is brand new. It is a model 917.376470.

A:

I saw your mower is a 2008 model. We have no way of knowing if the mowers are used all day everyday or once a week. If the mower has done this from the start, one or some of the bolts that hold the handle bracket (item 40 in the parts list) might have been left loose at the assembly line.

I suspect you will find something simple to repair the mower.

If you want to replace the rear wheels with smaller ones, go to www.searspartsdirect.com and look at the parts diagram for a model 917.376440. Order 2 each items 30, 32, 35, and 27. Order 1 each item 39 and 40.

This will give you the parts you need to convert your mower to the smaller rear wheels.

If the mower is less than 2 years old, I recommend you take it to a Sears Parts and Service Center or a Sears Retail Store for repair.

Q:

for Jimmy K. about screw for router 315.174921, 4th attempt

A:

I think we have not been communicating very well. Look at the parts diagram for the router please. On page 2 of the parts diagram item 4 is the actuator for the slide lock. Item 5 is the screw that holds the actuator on the slide lock.

If you remove the actuator, remove the 3 screws that hold the upper cover on the router, push the slide lock in, and lift the upper cover up, you can remove the top cover for the router.
