Q:

McCulloch MAC 160S Chainsaw

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the chain saw. If the chain will not tighten when you loosen the nuts and turn the adjusting screw, I suspect the adjustment pin on the clutch cover is broken or not positioned in the bar. I found a video that shows how to replace the adjustment pin. The video also shows how the pin should fit into the bar. Click here to watch the video.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

ryobi blower\vac. problems

A:

Thank you for your question as to why the Ryobi blower/vac will not start.

I am sorry that your Ryobi blower will not start.

There are a number of things you will need to check.

First do you have fresh fuel mixture in the fuel tank and purged it through the carburetor by pushing the primer bulb several times.

Please check to see if the fuel lines are not broken or cracked.

It is possible that the carburetor is not supplying fuel to the engine.

Next have you changed the spark plug out? These small engines are known for collecting carbon on the spark plug.

Please let me know what you find out and we can continue to troubleshoot with that information.

Thank you.
