Q:

How do you backup a desktop PC?

A:

To backup a PC means to save all your files and folders. This is helpful in case you lose your hard drive and have to reinstall Windows. I have provided a link that instructs you how to add the utility from your Windows XP installation disc or by downloading it from Microsoft at this link .

Q:

pc board part# 1118087

A:

We don't have that internal schematic for the control board available. The engineering design information for that older control board is not in our technical data for that model of refrigerator.

Without that information, you will probably not be able to repair that control board.

I searched for any alternative sources for the control board. I did not find it available through any parts sources.

It is likely that you will need to replace that refrigerator instead of repairing the control board.

Sorry that we could not help you with this information.

Q:

Which PC board controls the oven temperature?

A:

I can't be certain of which board could be causing the over temperature. First, make sure you are using an accurate thermometer and you let the heating element cycle ON and OFF at least 3 times before checking and comparing the set temperature. Then average the over all operating temperature.

The oven temperature is monitored by the Oven sensor and controlled by the Main PC board and the Oven Relay PC board. The failure could be a bad or loose oven sensor circuit or it could be the Main PC or the Oven Relay PC board. I would first measure the resistance of the oven sensor where it connects to the Main PC board. Disconnect the oven sensor connector from the Main PC and check the resistance using an Ohm meter. If the oven temperature sensor connections are not good and tight it will effect the oven temperatures.
