Question and Answers

Q:

Maytag top load washer #MVWB750WQ1: Washer doesn't fill with enough water to move the clothes when it begins to agitate. This happens on every cycle.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Your High-Efficiency (HE) top loading washer with an impeller instead of an agitator is not designed to fill up with water except in the rinse cycle when extra rinse is selected or when the fabric softener option is selected. Your washer senses the load size and composition through a series of fills and wash motions. It then adjusts the water level for best cleaning and rinsing performance. NOTE: You will notice during a cycle that the clothes are no completely submerged in water, this is normal. This is all controlled by the machine/motor control board.

Your washer is designed to have the option of saving water by using a spray rinse instead of a deep rinse. This option is the default setting on some cycles. This option is selectable on other cycles. When using fabric softener, always select the Fabric Softener button, or select Extra Rinse; both of these options will dispense fabric softener in a deep rinse. This information is also in your Owner's manual.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
