Question and Answers

Q:

part installation

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There are no written instructions on how to replace the control panel. The control panel is secured to the top with two clips. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I would remove the panel from behind the control panel before releasing the control panel assembly from the top. Remove the knobs by pulling them off. There will likely be a couple of screws to remove from the timer after removing the timer knob.

To release the clips and control panel from the top; slip a putty knife under one of the control panel end caps. Push the putty knife towards the back and pry up. Repeat steps for the other side. Begin removing the timer and the two switches. Remove the end caps and any other components that may be attached to the old control panel and transfer to the new panel.

It should not be a difficult procedure. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Martin: The putty knife is used to slip up under the front of each control panel end cap. There is spring clip that must be pushed inwards and then pry up to release the control panel from the top. I added an image below with some instructions for releasing the control panel and removing the controls.
