How do I install the front panel with gasket on my Maytag dishwasher?

A:

The procedure for removing the inner door panel of this model of Maytag dishwasher is shown in the image below. Be sure to shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power to the dishwasher before beginning this procedure.

Removing the inner door panel will give you access to the seals at the bottom of the door.

You indicated that the dishwasher is leaking under the float. If the water level in the tub is unusually high and rising above the stem inside the tub that the float sit in, then you could have a failed float switch.
