Question and Answers

Q:

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry I did not get the response you have posted. If the new pinion did not help, I suggest checking the shaft from the gearbox. I have only seen the shaft break a handful of times. You will need to use caution when doing this. First, remove the spark plug wire. Then hold the bail down and pull the drive lever. With these held pull on the starter rope. When the engine turns over the shaft should be turning. If they were turning, I would say the problem is in the pinions or the wheels have worn teeth. I think you would have noticed that. Used the images below to inspect the pinions. If they look ok, you can use some graphite powder to help keep the parts moving free.

If the new pinion is not working you can call the parts department for an exchange. The number should be on the packing list that came with the parts.

I have double checked the alerts for this question so i should be notified if you respond.

Q:

Drain Flows Continuosly and not softwater coming out

A:

Thank you for your question as to why the softener is constantly draining water in the service position.

It sounds like the valve is stuck in the back wash or fast rinse position on the head.

If the unit will require replacement parts you will need to contact Culligan.

I do not have a lot of information on the Culligan products so I would suggest that you call you local Culligan dealer.

Q:

Why won't the selector knob mark the selection?

A:

The likely failure is the "PCB" control board.

I recommend calling a service technician in order to properly diagnose and repair your microwave. We do not assist consumers working on microwaves for safety concerns. The microwave can store 15,000 volts of electricity even when the microwave is unplugged from the power source which can be lethal.
