Question and Answers

Q:

maytag mah3000aww washer won't tumble

A:

Hi John,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your washer.

If you are not getting 120vac to the motor control and you are certain the wiring is good, you should replace the machine control. It sounds like the tech sheet you downloaded has a typographical error. I am including an image below of that same page you described. This is a known correct version. They do not include any further checks as to why the machine control is not sending voltage. At times when working on appliances with electronics we have to use the process of elimination. If A then B, and if that did not work then C. I realize this can be frustrating and an expensive way of working on your washer, but this is what we are given. As a field tech we did as the tech sheet instructed, and if that did not fix the appliance we were working on we would replace the next most likely component. We then charged the customer for the parts actually needed.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Washer Maytag model #mah3000aww won't spin.

A:

Thank you for your question on the control board burning out R11 on the board.

It will burn out the board if the wax motor is on the door latch is shorted.

You will need to order another board and make sure you look at the serial number for the correct series.

The serial number will be a 10 to 16 for one board and 17 and higher for another board.

The wax motor for the door lock is: 12002535 for about $ 23.00.

Maytag does not provide any of the on circuit component values. You will need to purchas a new board.

If you need more help please let me know what you have found, and we can continue our troubleshooting based on that.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
