Q:

90 series kenmore washer..m#110. 22922 100.... spin cycle was very slow... two loads later,, then no spin..

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. I must assume the rusted area was on the center vertical portion of the spin basket because you did not mention you had removed the basket. I say this because there is another post under the spin basket in which if it rusts, it will leak water down and on the clutch. Even if water was leaking past the rust on the spin basket it would not leak water down because of the seals in the basket drive and the seals in the tub support.

The rusted basket is not preventing the washer from spinning. The likely failure is nothing more than a worn clutch band. The clutch is what is sitting on top of the gear case. It would be worth pulling the gear case again and replacing the clutch band and then see how well it spins. The clutch band kit is part #285790.

You can order the clutch band from Sears PartsDirect

Ron: Water should not leak even if the basket was removed. If water is leaking onto the floor, the tub support tube that the basket drive and gear case shaft fits up through is rusted or you have a bad tub seal.

Q:

Why is my water filter status display stuck at 99% after resetting it?

A:

The filter status display will help you know when to change your water filter. When the display reads 10%, order a new filter. It is recommended that you replace the filter when the display reads 0% OR when water flow to your water dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably.

After changing the filter, reset the display by pressing the button. The display will read 99% when the system is reset. It will eventually start reducing the percentage with use. The filter monitor system measures the amount of water that passes through the filter and alerts you to replace the filter.

Q:

I have coins in my washer. I am 99% sure they are in the pump. 110.2808

A:

You can unplug the washer and disconnect the water fill hoses. Lay down some cardboard and then carefully tilt the washer forward and lay it on the front panel to access the drain pump. Here is a link for a previous answer that describes that repair: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/312529-kenmore-elite-oasis-washer-draining .

Once you remove that drain pump, you should find your coins. If you need more help, reply with additional details.
