Q:

PTO on Craftsman LT 1500

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. The deck on your tractor is engaged with a cable. With the engine turned off have someone engage and disengage the mower while you watch the cable and the idler arm. The cable pulls on the spring that pulls the idler to tighten the belt. If the cable stretches the spring but does not move the idler, I suspect the pivot point on the idler is rusted. Usually spraying the area down with WD-40 and work it back and forth. I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Q:

DP gympac 1500

A:

Thank you for your request for a instruction manual for the old DP gympac 1500. I have looked a number of places but could not find the manual for this gym.

I found a lot of references to the manual but could not find the actual manual.

I would suggest spending sometime on the some search engine web sites and you may be able to find one.

Sears sold a number of models of the DP gym Pac but I do not see a reference to this model.

I am sorry that I could not help you.

Q:

Why does my NordicTrack 1500 model 831.298801 shut off on its own when in use?

A:

This symptom points to a failure in the console. You could have a bad key switch or an intermittent failure in the console.

Several other problems could also cause the motor to stop even though it restarts immediately. A technician will normally need to diagnose and repair this type of failure. If you are advanced in technical skills and have the ability to safely conduct some troubleshooting checks, you may be able to determine the cause of this problem and repair it yourself. I provided the technical information that a repair technician uses to analyze the treadmill and repair a failure in the images below. NOTE: This information is intended for technicians. You should only use this information if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely access and test components in the treadmill. Unplug the treadmill before accessing internal components. If you conduct live voltage checks as described in the technical information below be aware that these measurements are extremely dangerous. Making contact with certain internal wiring leads with the internal components exposed can result in lethal electrical shock. If you are unsure of using this information, I recommend that you call a service technician to diagnose and repair the treadmill.
