Question and Answers

Why did my Kenmore iron KSR500 stop heating?

There is not a reset switch on this iron. If it is not heating, then you have an internal failure that is not serviceable. There are no replacement parts or internal repairs that can be made to fix this problem. The iron will need to be replaced.

It is not likely that a water problem caused this failure. Although it is a good idea to clean the iron regularly, the rusty or dirty water will normally not affect the heating element in an iron.
