KitchenAid electric cooktop KECC502GBL05 Burner problems with 2 of 4 burners & 4 indicator lights out except 5th overall indicator

You could have various failures in the elements, burner switches and wiring that could cause these problems in your cook top. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the cook top to disconnect electrical power. Remove the cook top from the counter. Remove the burner box and as shown in the first image below. Check the wiring on all of the burners and burner switches. The wiring diagram for the cook top is shown in the second image below. The problem with none of the hot surface indicator lights working is probably caused by a wiring failure. It would be highly unusual for all of the indicator lights or all of the sensors to go bad at one time. You may have a bad element or a failed burner switch causing the problem #1 in your description. You can check the element and the burner switch (and the wiring) using the information provided below. The dual burner element described in failure #2 will probably need to be replaced. You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

This information should help you fix the failures in your cook top. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to a point where you need to have a service technician repair the cook top, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
