Question and Answers

Q:

Most of my controls on my jenn air JES9900BAS are not working

A:

That key panel or the clock control board for the range could be causing this problem. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the range and access that control board in the console as described in the second image below. Check the ribbon wiring connection between the control panel and the clock control board. If the wiring connection is okay, you can use the test shown in that first image to check that key panel. If the key panel is bad, then it will need to be replaced. If that key panel is okay, then you will probably need to replace that clock control board. You can order parts from this page: JennAir Range JES9900BAS Control Panel/Top Assembly Parts . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker before accessing and replacing internal components.

That link for a previous answer that Aashe posted in the above response provides the basic procedure for installing that glass top on this type of range. I provided that same procedure in the image below. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the range before beginning that procedure. This information should help you complete that repair. NOTE: This is an advanced repair. If you do not feel confident replacing this cook top yourself, then you can have it installed by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Jennair control not working after glass top replacement

A:

Your details indicate that the ribbon wire connection for the control panel may be loose or disconnected from the electronic oven control board. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the range and check that issue. Once that ribbon wire connection for the control panel is securely plugged into the control board, the display and control panel may work properly.
