Question and Answers

Is there a part on my icemaker I can replace, to fix it?

If the icemaker refilled but has not harvested them, it could be a problem with the freezer temperature or the icemaker itself. If the temperature is not below 10 degrees the icemaker may not cycle. In this case, it will need to be determined, why the freezer is not getting cold enough.

If the freezer temperature is normal between 0-5 degrees, check the led light on the icemaker. If it's off, it indicates there is no power to the icemaker. If it's on but blinking, it indicates a faulty sensor and the icemaker will need to be replaced.

If there is no water in the mold the problem could be with the icemaker (see above) or it could be the water valve. To check this, the icemaker can be cycled manually, if the led light is on. To cycle it, turn the switch on the icemaker off for 15 seconds. Now turn it back on and work the paddle in and out 3 times. The icemaker should start into a cycle and if it does, watch for a water fill at the end of the cycle. If doesn't fill, the water valve will probably need to be replaced but some voltage checks will need to be made, to determine for sure. A technician may be needed for this. If the icemaker won't cycle, it will need to be replaced.

There are several possibilities that can be creating your problem. A technician may be needed to make these checks. If you need more assistance you can resubmit your question with more details.
