Question and Answers

Will low voltage keep the icemaker from working?

When checking voltage at the icemaker, be sure to keep it connected or you will get a false reading. With the icemaker still connected, check across the terminals marked L-N. Now place the insulated jumper between T-H and if the voltage is only 99 volts and the icemaker does not cycle, there could be a problem with the optic board or the wiring. When checking voltage at the receiver board, with it connected, check across the black and white wires and then the black/white to white wires. It should be the same 110 volts. If the voltage varies between the 2 checks, either the wire connections are bad or the board is defective. If you get 110 volts at the icemaker and it still won't cycle with the jumper, the icemaker will need to be replaced. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
