Question and Answers

Q:

my favorite horse

A:

Thank you for your question on the PTO switch does not engage the blades.

I will need the complete model number from under the seat of the tractor to help you with your problem.

I would suggest that you look to see if the drive belt for the deck is on all the pulleys and if it is then remove the electric wire connector going to the clutch and have a helper sit on the tractor and engage the clutch and using a volt ohm meter on the dc volt setting check to see if you have 12 volts dc to from the harness with the pto switch activated. .

If you do then the clutch is bad if you do not have 12 volts dc then the clutch switch is bad.

If you reply with the model number I will be able to give you a more precise answer.

Q:

pool pump shaft doesnt turn when pluged in. just hums

A:

Thank you for your question on the Jacuzzi pool.

If the motor just hums it could be that a start capacitor if it has one has failed.

Can you spin the motor by hand? It not then the motor may be seized up and will need to be replaced.

If you can spin the motor by hand, then it may be okay and it could be some other electrical components like the starting relay or the start capacitor.

If you could reply with the model number from the pump system, or any motor plate information I may be able to help you further.
