Q:

Whirlpool dishwasher wont drain completely

A:

I can see your Whirlpool Dishwasher is not draining fast enough, and it seems frustrating to have checked all the possible things that could be wrong and they all check out to be okay. I found a question answered by an expert in Manage My Life under the Answers button that is similar to the one you asked. This question will give you some helpful information while your waiting on an expert answer. I attached the link below, I hope this helps!!!!!!

The operation of the drain system in this dishwasher is shown in the image below. Your symptoms point to a clog or restriction in the soil settler. To check this area yourself, you will need to shut off the breaker for the dishwasher and pull it out from under the counter. Lay the dishwasher on its back and use the procedure shown at the bottom of the image to access the soil setter. NOTE: Make sure that all water is drained from the dishwasher before beginning this procedure. You may still be able to gravity drain the dishwasher into a shallow pan. If not, you can use a wet/dry shop vacuum to remove most of the water. Be prepared to catch residual water when you remove hoses and components on the bottom of the dishwasher. If you remove the soil settler, you will likely find a restriction that is preventing the dishwasher from draining properly. If not, then you will likely need to have a service technician check the motor and other components. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.
