Question and Answers

why dryer will not turn on?

A dryer is an appliance we depend on when there's laundry to be done. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. Have a nice day!

Thanks for contacting I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your dryer not turning on. We are here to help. I recommend resetting the circuit breaker to the dryer. If there is no change, unplug the dryer and check the outlet with a multimeter. Now if the outlet has zero voltage or 110 vac, I recommend you contact a electrician to correct the problem. I provided you a link below to do that. However, if the outlet has the proper voltage, I recommend checking the terminal block for 240 vac. If there is no voltage at the terminal block, I recommend replacing the power cord. Next, the top of the dryer needs to be remove to check the safety thermastat(thermal fuse) and door switch with a multimeter. If those parts are OK, check the push to start button. The first image will help you open the dryer. The second image will help you locate the thermostats. The safety thermastat is key #505. I hope this helps.
