Question and Answers

Q:

I have a glass cook top and my pans are larger than cooking surface, the trim on the stove holds the pans off the surface, are there any type of shims or rings

A:

Thank you for question and I understand your concern. There are no types of shims or rings available because it would reduce the transfer of heat to the pots and pans. The pots and pans must sit flat and make total contact with the smooth glass cooking surface in order for the radiant burners to transfer heat to the pots and pans properly. If the pots and pans are not contacting the glass surface, the heat can not transfer properly to the pots and pans and it will also cause the radiant burner to short cycle on and off.
