Question and Answers

How do I get the drive belt on a GE dryer over the drum?

You will need to open the dryer door and remove the screws along the bottom edge of the top panel. Hinge the top open. Remove the screws on each side panel securing the front panel to the side panels. Tilt the top of the front panel towards just enough to drape the belt around the drum and slide the belt back to where the original belt was riding. You should see a wear mark. Push the front panel back to its original position and reinstall the screw to the panel and top.
