WATER IN CRISPER AREA CTF15EBB Hotpoint Refrigerator

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your refrigerator model   CTF15EBB, sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to help you with this issue. There is a drain on your model and it is located under the evaporator coil. You will notice a metal pan under the coil. The drain is near the center of the pan. You must totally deice the coil and pan before attempting to access the drain hole and note that the evaporator coil has brackets that will need to be removed to lift coil(be gentle so you don’t damage coil or defrost heater on the coil.) I suspect you will also find tiny pieces of Styrofoam blocking the drain hole as the insulation breaks down over time.  This can be a re-occurring problem if the insulation is not complete replaced.   Replacing the insulation on this unit may not be your option and if not I would suggest this tip to help prolong the life of your refrigerator. Make a heat probe from a piece of un-insulated copper wire (use # 12 size or bigger). Cut the wire to about six inches, wrap one end around the defrost heater and guide the other end down into the drain hole, this will help keep the drain de-iced and maybe it will prevent future blockage in future. Reassemble evaporator and covers in reverse order. I hope this helps you, if you need more help reply with added details and I will be happy to respond.
