Question and Answers

Dryer will not start CRER442AS0 Frigidaire Dryer

There is a thermal limiter fuse on the top right side of the back panel inside the dryer cabinet. That fuse could be blown. You could also have a tripped house circuit breaker.

If the house circuit breakers are not tripped, then you can access that thermal limiter fuse by unplugging the dryer and lifting the top panel. Push a putty knife into the front corners under the top panel on each side to release the clips that secure the front of the top panel to the dryer cabinet. Lift the front of the top panel and hinge it up and back. You can remove the wires from the thermal limiter fuse and tape them together with electrical tape to bypass the fuse for a brief test. Lower the top panel and see if the dryer runs with those wires taped together. If the dryer runs then the thermal limiter fuse will need to be replaced. It is part number 134120900. (The description calls that thermal limiter fuse a "thermal light" but it is the fuse.)

Do not continue to run the dryer with that fuse bypassed. It must be replaced to safely operate the dryer.
