Hi. I have a Samsung dryer model # DV219AEW/XAA I bought a belt for it bc the belt was shredded and I put it on but it will only spin slowly now. Any help?

The part number for the belt on that model of Samsung dryer should be 6602-001655. If you received the wrong belt, then I recommend that you return it and order this one.

If you have the correct belt, then I recommend that you check the routing of the belt over the motor pulley and around the idler pulley. The first image below shows how the belt should be routed. I added a procedure for accessing and replacing the belt in the second image.

This information should help you fix that dryer problem. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

I understand that you are trying to fix this problem on your own. If you do get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine the dryer and install the belt, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Dryer Repair.

Should we leave our refrigerator on or off when gone for 6 months.

I recommend removing power or unplug the refrigerator when you are gone for the 6 months. I would continue to leave the doors open for ventilation.

Stuffing the refrigerator with newspaper basically would displace volume and so that it may not have to run as often and will absorb odors. The door seals will not dry out just because it's not running.

I would not recommend leaving newspaper in for 6 months with the refrigerator running. The newspaper could become humid or wet and cause an odor themselves.
