Q:

Kenmore 700 Series Dryer

A:

Based on your general description, I suspect that you will need to remove the lower front panel using the procedure shown in the first image below. Be sure that you unplug the dryer before accessing internal components. The second image shows a photograph of a common Kenmore 700 Series dryer with the bottom front service panel being removed.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details and the full model number of your Kenmore 700 Series dryer.

Q:

Washer series 700

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. If the fabric softener is coming out as soon as you pour it in, the dispenser is defective. The softener should stay in the dispenser until the first spin cycle after the wash cycle. When the spin cycle stops, the softener should run into the basket. If it is not doing that, I recommend removing the dispenser. It might have just come apart. If it came apart clean the parts in warm water and reassemble it. If it is broke, it has to be replaced. Q:

700 series rotary lawnmower

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. If the drive will not release when you let go of the lever I recommend checking the belt tension first. If the belt is not loosen enough the drive will not release. If you find the belt is fine try to push the mower a few inches to disengage the drive before pulling it back. If this does not help, I recommend cleaning the pinions. If you can reply with a model number, I will be happy to assist you on cleaning the pinions.

Bill, I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. If it sounds like the belt is squealing, I recommend removing the belt cover. With the engine turned off try to turn the pulley on the top of the gear case. See if it makes a noise when you turn it. If it does not make a noise, go ahead and start the mower and engage the drive. Watch the pulley to see if the pulley stops when you hear the noise. If it does, the belt is slipping. If the belt on you model is adjustable try adjusting it first. If that does not cure the problem, I recommend replacing the belt.
