Q:

What is the name of the blue part on the back of my refrigerator?

A:

According to your description, it sounds like you are looking for the inlet water solenoid valve. This is Key 10 in the first image below. The second image shows a picture of the part. The part number is 2188542. You can order this part from the Sears PartsDirect website [www.searspartsdirect.com].

The water pressure from the supply provides enough flow for the water to fill the ice maker. A pump is not needed. This part is just an electric solenoid valve that opens to allow the water to fill the ice maker as needed.

NOTE: If you are replacing this valve yourself, make sure that you unplug the refrigerator before you begin the repair.

Q:

What should I do about my blue convergence not lining up?

A:

If it will not converge on the blue it could be the amp that is out. Call repair service and since they will have to either change the amp or change the board itself. It’s hard to say which is cheaper since the amp board is relatively low.
