Q:

Where is the temperature sensor adjustment setting on my Kenmore electric range, Model No 911 934 2191.

A:

Thank you for your question.

First, you need to have a good accurate high temp thermometer. Do not use the cheap needle thermometer. they are not actuate._ I recommend a good digital thermometer. Place the thermometer probe in the center of the oven. I usually hang the probe from one of the racks.

Then check the position of the thermostat's sensing bulb inside the oven. Make sure it's fastened securely in its mounting, usually with two small steel clips, and is *not touching the oven wall*. Therefore, what we want at the 350 setting is an *average* temp of around 350 or a little less. Ideally, this is an 'on' temp of around 325F and back 'off' at around 375F, yielding an average of 350. Setting this a bit lower than 350F isn't a bad idea, though. I usually aim for an average of 340F to 345F, because it's better to put your food back into the oven for a few minutes if underdone.

Set the temperature to 350 and allow it to run at least 3 on/off 'cycles' up and down, then adjust, and run 2 or 3 cycles more to verify that it's right. Just write down the 'on' and 'off' temps for several cycles, and divide the difference between the two to get the current average.

To adjust the temperature on your model oven the adjustment is on the back side of the knob. When you pull the knob off, you will see two small screws on the back side of it. Loosen the screws and rotate the inter portion to increase or decrees the temperature. Then reinstall the knob and allow the oven to cycle 2-3 times. Now double check your temp reading to make sure it has an average temperature of 345 to 350 degrees.

Q:

what does f 32 mean on model number 461970235742

A:

The number you provided as a model number is NOT a model number. Without having the model number I will only be able to provide general information. The "F-32" fault code indicates a water level pressure switch failure. The water level pressure switch will likely need to be removed and replaced. The water level pressure switch is located underneath the top and mounted on the right hand side. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the top.
