Q:

what is error code F 02 mean

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F02" fault code displays when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. This can happen if the drain pump filter is restricted or if there is too many suds due to the wrong type of detergent being uses or too much detergent being used.

I added an image below showing how to access the drain pump filter. NOTE: Be sure to have all the water removed from the tub before removing the drain pump filter. You will also need to disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the front lower access panel.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

What can I do if my satellite universal remote won’t control my new DVD recorder?

A:

Seems the satellite remote was from a time when DVD players where starting to come out. I doubt that you would be able to fine a code that lets the remote send the correct signals to control your DVD recorder. My suggestion would be to find a universal remote with learning capability. The remote will read the IR signal from your original remote and attempt to emulate it where you program it to. The code you are inputting on your satellite remote is not really programming the remote, its just telling it what set of signals to use that has been preprogrammed in the remote. This is why I think you might have little luck getting it to talk to your DVD recorder.
