Q:

1987 compressor

A:

Thank you for your question on the SCFM of the air compressor.

Depending on which motor it has, the 1 1/2 hp or a 2 hp, the output should be between 5.0 to 6.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI. Most of these twin cylinder pumps were the same, with the difference is the motor pulley size and the motor horse power. The larger the motor the larger the motor pulley the more output it had because the motor would turn the pump faster.

Since this is an old unit it may not be able to produce that much anymore.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Rebuilding the compressor will depend on how badly it is worn. If it seems to operate okay then I would not try to rebuild it. If the compressor is weak and does not put out the required air then you will need to replace the piston rings the gaskets and the reed valve in the reed plate if they are not sealing. It may not need anything. To drain you will remove the 1/8 drain plug. To fill with oil you will remove the 1/4 inch oil filler plug on the side of the pump block. The correct amount of oil is at the top thread of the 1/4 filler plug hole. I am sorry but the owner's manual for this compressor is no longer available. Please let me know what you find and we can go from there. Sam A.

Q:

1987 Kenmore Microwave Wattage

A:

I do not have the exact wattage rating on that older model. It was likely rated between 800 and 1000 watts.

Q:

we own a 1987 Kenmore washer

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

As Barbara H. suggested; adding the model number of your washer would be most helpful in knowing exactly what model you have. Having additional details would be helpful too.

I'm not completely sure what you mean by "won't rinse". I will assume the washer will fill with water and agitate and the problem is that it will not drain and then spin. If the washer will fill and agitate but not drain or spin then it may have a broken lid switch.

Reply with the model number and additional details I will be happy to assist you in repairing your washer.
