Q:

Compressor Model # 919166442 where does the black wire from the cord go to? 919166442 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. I looked up the model number you submitted. I could not find a diagram for this air compressor. By looking at the parts list, the black from the power cord should connect to one terminal in the pressure switch. The black wire from the motor should connect to the other terminal on the pressure switch. It looks like the white wire from the motor and cord are tied together.

I hope this is helpful. If this does not match your model please reply below with a picture of the wires on the unit.

Q:

"Replacing old Regulator Manifold on a 919166442 Regulator # A1404 with Regulator # 875.16038, Need Help" Is there instructions for a Retrofit?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. I looked up the model umber you submitted. Trying to retro fit a standard regulator on this model is going to be difficult to do. You will need to purchase a series of pipefittings to get it to work. Then I am not sure if you will be able to get all of them you need. I looked up the regulator for or model and it cost $19.40 plus shipping and tax. I think you will have close to that if not more trying to retrofit a different regulator on the unit. I recommend ordering the correct regulator. You can do so from the following link. Replacement regulator for a Craftsman air compressor model 919.166442.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
