Question and Answers

Q:

How to adjust the pressure switch on a Craftsman air compressor?

A:

The pressure switch on your air compressor is factory set. The pressure switch is not meant to be adjusted as the pressure might exceed safe limits for the tank.

If the pressures are not correct on the air compressor, it is because the bellows inside the pressure switch has hardened or broken. The best policy is to replace the pressure switch.

Q:

need to know if there is a special tool that removes fasteners on the shroud to air compressor .

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with removing the shroud. The shroud is secured with torx head screws. The size will be T15 or T20. The manufacture has used both sizes. Some of the screwdrivers are not long enough to reach the screw so make sure you purchase one long enough. The image below shows the type of screwdriver you need.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
