Question and Answers

rod bearing 919164200 Craftsman Air compressor

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

It's recommended to replace the eccentric bearing if you are replacing the connecting rod. The base of the bearing can sometimes develope hairline cracks that may be hard to see with the eye, and over time the bearing may not spin freely. It is a sealed bearing, so there isn't a way to repack it. If you need the eccentric bearing, the part number is Z-AC-0140.

I hope this helps and thanks for using We appreciate your business.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Craftsman Air compressor model number 919164200.

Things to check any loose air lines?   Maybe change the oil, try synthetic compressor oil?  Sounds like a motor switch but it is all part of the motor.   Also would check the check valve.

Thank you for contacting Sears Parts Direct with your questions about your Craftsman Air Compressor. I am so sorry to hear it isn't working. The screws you are referring to that hold the cover on are #10-24 X 9/16 Pan HD screws (3 used, torque 15-25 in. lbs). I have included a photo of one so you can better see the top. You will need an allen wrench to remove them.

I have included the link in case you need to replace them. Cover screw for Craftsman Air Compressor model 919164200.
