Q:

rear wheel adjuster kit 917374352 Craftsman Mower

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

In order to access the bolts for the adjusters, the rear baffle will need to be taken off. See image below. In order to have access to the side bolts on the side of the deck may require removing the left and right handle brackets.

When tilting the mower, tilt the gas tank side of the mower up.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

drive cable replacement 917374352 Craftsman Mower

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I will be happy to assist you with changing the cable. I recommend taking the cable loose from the control lever first. To do that you need to remove the screws in the backside of the control. Then remove the back cover and disconnect the cable. Be sure to remove the cover slowly so the parts do not fall out. Before removing the cable, please note how all the parts fit together. Once you have the cable removed from the control, install the new cable in the control and reassemble it. Next, you need to remove the old cable from the cable holders along the handle. You may need to cut then off to remove the old cable. Just use electrical tape or wire ties to secure the new cable along the handle. Now you can work on removing the old cable from the gear case. First, disconnect the spark plug wire and tip the mower on its side. Be sure the air filter is up. Then remove the blade and remove the blade adapter. Next, remove the bolts securing the debris shield. Once the shield is removed, you should be able to access the tabs by reaching through the hole the belt travels. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze the tabs securing the cable in position. Once you have them squeezed, pull the cable out from the top of the mower. Once you remove the old cable, install the new cable in the reverse order. I posted a few images below that will help with the repair.
